The exterior of Cedar Grove has not changed much since the days of Absalom Sharp.
A drawing of the home, done in the mid-1800's, highly resembles what you'll
see today as you come through the gas-lit gates.
The interior is a bit of a different
story. The ballroom upstairs has long since been divided into
bedrooms, first for the children who came to live in the home, later as
guest rooms for our many visitors.
Upon entering the front door, one sees the foyer and stairway. Doorways lead to the kitchen and the parlor.
Of great interest is the spiral stairway in another main floor room; a sort of "side entrance" to what was the ballroom.
The first floor also holds the dining room and a study.
Breakfast is served in the dining room of the Main House, and the entire ground floor is open to our Bed & Breakfast guests. Feel free to relax in the parlor, or take in a good book in the study, for instance.
